It is available in high-graded steel and includes cylinder and rotor with beaters. Filling port is at the head of the cylinder, spring-and-ball discharge valve is at the bottom. Rotor is mounted on bearings and has V-belt variable speed drive. Filling of the cylinder and quality of the removal of awns is controlled by spiral-and-ball valve that moves the load. Seeds tare transferred through filling port into the machine where shaft with pins driven by the motor through wedge belt removes awns, fine hair and barbules. Treated seeds are removed through orifice of adjustable flap.
